Carol C. Butts, 71, of Marion, SC entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 28, 2023. Born September 5, 1951 in New Orleans, LA, Carol was the youngest of three children born to Reverend and Mrs. Conrad Shaw Cato, SR.

Carol began working at Walmart in Charleston, SC before transferring and opening Marion Walmart where she continued to work for a total of 30 years before retiring.

Carol was lovingly devoted to her job and spent her free time raising two daughters, Allyson Renea Russ, 43, of Little Rock, SC, (Shelia Russ), and Stacey Cooke, 39, of Marion, SC, which in turn blessed her with 6 grandchildren, Karleigh Smith, Caleb, Gavin, and Sarah Cooke, and Payton and Aiden Webster. Carol is survived by her sister, Jeanette Johnston, 84, of Summerville, SC.

The family is requesting to keep all services private at this time, however, encourage you to leave your thoughts and memories on her tribute page.
