Carol Diane Broyhill, 74, of Florence, S.C. died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at a local nursing facility. She was born in Richmond, Virginia, daughter of the late Carl and Dorthella Boyse Mingst. She was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. She retired in 2009 from Home Health Management of Florence where she was the Director of Human Resources. Carol is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Gibson Broyhill who passed away in 2011 and a daughter, Laura B. Creel. She is survived by two sons, Paul R. Broyhill of Richmond, VA; Robert C. "Bobby" (Karen) Broyhill of Scranton, S.C.; one daughter, Lisa B. (Eddie) Ard of Florence, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Pattillo, Tyler Ard, Kelley Ard, Sarah Broyhill, Brittany Broyhill, Gage Broyhill, Landon Broyhill, Michael Ritch, and Shane Ritch; one great granddaughter, Caitlyn Pattillo. A service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum chapel directed by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of Elmcroft Assisted Living, Heartland Village who gave Carol such loving and wonderful care.
