Carl Ronald Wallace, Sr. “Ronnie”, 79, of Florence, SC, passed away on January 9th, 2026, at the Manor.
Ronnie was born in Florence County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late George Gary Wallace and Dorothy “Dot” Wright Wallace. Ronnie served his country as a mechanic in the US Army and then worked as a pipe fitter and electrician for Seaboard Coastline then CSX Railroad. Ronnie and his wife, Bobbie, owned CKS Hobby Center in Florence and Weinberg’s Sausage Plant in Darlington. He was a Perpetual Life Member of Hampton Lodge 204 where he served as the 94th and 98th Worshipful Master (1992, 1996, 1997), Secretary of the Lodge (1998-2008) and District Deputy Grand Master of the 27th District (2004-2006). He was also a member of the Scottish Rite-Columbia Valley and the Omar Shrine.
Surviving are his son, Carl Ronald Wallace, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Wallace of Arlington, VA; his daughter, Kimberly Wallace Augenbraun and son-in-law, Craig Augenbraun of Fort Mill, SC; his daughter, Susan Wallace of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, William Wallace and Dorothy Augenbraun; his siblings Sandra Mueller of Chesapeake, VA, Dianne Moss, of Florence, and Terry Wallace of Florence; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wallace was predeceased by his wife of fifty-six years Bobbie Weinberg Wallace, his parents, and brother George “Bucky” Wallace.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Manor for their exceptional care and compassion that was given to both Ronnie and Bobbie through the years. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, www.shrinerschildrens.org.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 16, 2026 with Masonic Rites in the Florence National Cemetery directed by Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Ingram Chapel at The Manor with a Celebration of Life to be held at 3:00 pm in the chapel.
