Obituary

Brent Adrian Bowman passed away peacefully on January 28, 2021 — in the company of loved ones, friends, and family. He was 57 years old at the time of his passing and is now in the company of our Lord and his sister Sharon Lee Wasson (Bowman) who joined the Lord in 2011.

Brent was born in Greenville South Carolina on November 3, 1963 and attended Eastside High and Greenville Tech. He was a carpenter by his trade and a Christian by his calling. However, his passion was music. He was an excellent guitar player and performed in several bands in the Greenville area.

Adventurous and fearless are two words that most people would use to describe Brent. His sharp wit and clever banter would have put just about any stand-up comic to shame. He never met a stranger and was always willing to extend a hand to someone needing help. His good heart and sweet spirit will be missed by those who loved him.  And, there's no doubt that the Clemson Tigers lost one of their most avid fans.

Brent is survived by his mother Lorraine Frederick and his younger sister Andrea Davis, both of Florence South Carolina. Brent was the favorite "uncle" and well-loved by his nephews and nieces — Charles Oliver and Benito Ruiz III of Florence and Breanna Davis and Jordan Davis of Maine — and by his many cousins.

To keep Brent's friends and family safe from the dangers of COVID, we will not be having a formal memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Brent's honor to Hebron Ministries at 358 Old Turnpike Road, Boone, NC 28607.  Brent spent some well-loved time at Hebron Ministries a few years ago.
