Darlington, SC Bobby Billy Sypolt, 87, of Darlington, S.C., died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Alma Marie Sypolt. Bob proudly served in the United States Navy in WWll on the Destroyer USS John L. Williamson. He served at Iwo Jima and the Marshall Islands. He was retired from Cayce Company of Florence, S.C. Bob was an avid fisherman and was never happier that when he was on the water. He was a loving husband, an amazing father and a great friend to all that knew him. He is predeceased by his mother and his wife, Adelaide McCrea Sypolt who passed away in 2010. He is survived by three children, Billy Sypolt and his wife Anne of Irmo, S.C.; Kenneth Sypolt and his wife Peggy of St. Petersburg, Florida; Barbara Made and her husband Jim of Melbourne, Florida; five grandchildren, Larry Sypolt, Cameron Bell, Whitney Bell, Brian Sypolt and Robbie Sypolt; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 5:00 P.M. at Bethea Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the residence, 401 Sunset Cottage Lane, Darlington, S.C., following the service. Memorials may be made to Bethea Baptist Church, 157 Home Avenue, Darlington, S.C. 29532. The family would like to thank Meredith and Jimmy Fore for all the love and kindness they gave to Bob in his later years and also to the staff at Bethea Baptist for all their support.
