Bobby Gerald Haynes, 82, of Effingham, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.  He was born in Florence County, a son of the late Jack and Merina Spring Haynes.  In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ann Bellflower Haynes, his son, Gerald Ryan Haynes, a sister, Jean Moore, and his canine companion "Mutt".

Bobby was a farmer and a truck driver for over 50 years.  He was a hard worker and loved being outside tinkering with his equipment.  Most of all he loved his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his children, Kaye (Randy) Hubbard and Sydney Keith Haynes; four grandchildren, Renee Hubbard, Kalli Hubbard, Morgan (Frankie) Davis and Skylar Hutchinson; three great-grandchildren, Kenleigh Gainey, Ryan Davis and Raegan Davis; a sister, Nancy Springs Ham; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lebanon Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2024.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to McLeod Hospice House for all the care given to Mr. Haynes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House.
