There will be a private memorial service for Bobby D. Ard at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00PM Sunday November 9, 2008 at Cain Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reformers Unanimous, PO Box 12809, Florence, SC 29504. Mr. Ard, of Pamplico, died Friday, November 7, 2008, in a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1949, in Florence, to the late the late Lavoyd M. and Vondora Powell Ard. He was also predeceased by brothers, David and James Curtis Ard and sister Genever Miles. Mr. Ard served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was employed as a millwright with Marsh Lumber Company. Surviving, are: brother, Danny (Joan) Ard of Pamplico; sisters, Rose M. (Johnny) Driggers and Dora Von (Joseph) Cook of Scranton and special friend, Alice Jones.
