A funeral service for Blake Ashley Daniels, son of Billy and Becky Daniels, will be at 11:00AM Wednesday November 19, 2008 in Cain Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Paul Miles. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Tuesday at the funeral home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to local animal shelters in Blake's memory. Mr. Daniels, 39, died Saturday morning, November 15, 2008, at his residence. He was born May 31, 1969, in Wichita Falls, TX, where his father was in the Air Force. Blake attended Florence schools with special education classes, "graduating" from Southside in 1990. He resided at Alcine Place and worked at the I.W. Canupp Center workshop. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are: sister, Amy (Richie) D. Hughes of Florence; nephews, Trey Munn and Ryan Hughes both of Florence; grandfathers, Maynard Daniels of Effingham and George Luther of Sophia, NC; aunt, Joann (Wayne) Johnston of Sophia, NC; uncles Allen Daniels of Effingham and devoted uncle Philip (Rebe) Poston of Lake City and adopted 'godfather' Ed (Bobbie) Campbell of Florence.
