A memorial service for Mr. Billy Gene Strawn, husband of Julia Lewis Strawn, will be at 4:00 PM, July 27, 2009, in Grace Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. John Collins. He was born December 5, 1934, in Effingham, SC, to the late James T. and Willie Mae Hicks Strawn. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Wallace; Brother, Charles Strawn; and a Grandchild, Joseph Strawn. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are: sons, David (Cathie) Strawn, and Chad (Jill) Strawn both of Florence, SC; brothers, Keith Strawn, and Robert "Bob" (Mary) Strawn; sister, Sylvia (Shelton) Stewart ; grandchildren, Rachel Strawn, Alex Strawn, and Emily Strawn; and several nieces and nephews.
