A funeral service with full military honors by a Charleston AFB Honor Guard for Billy Gene Miller, widower of Mary McQueen Miller, will be at 1:00PM Monday February 15, 2010 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens conducted by an Air Force Chaplain. Entombment in the Mausoleum will follow. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12:00-12:45PM, at the Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Carolina Hospice Care, 410 Mill St, Suite 104, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Mr. Miller, 78, formerly of Florence, died February 11, 2010, in daughter's residence in McLellanville. He was born March 7, 1931 in Malden, MO, to the late William and Edna Bagby Miller. He was also predeceased by daughter, Cindy Cox and sons, Paul McQueen and Steven A. Miller. Billy served his country in US Air Force for 22 years, retiring in 1971 as a CMSGT. Following his military career he began a second career as Credit Manager for both Vulcraft and later Sadisco. Surviving are: daughter, Stephanie M. (Carl) Cooper of Mc Clellanville, SC; Grandchildren, Carla Poston, Lindsey Copper, Rebecca and Christopher Cox, Caeley and Bryon A. Miller; great grandchildren, Cooper Poston and Evan Cox; brother, Thomas Miller of Malden, MO; sister, Faye Szupello of CA.
