Betty Peabody, 87, died of natural causes at 9 AM Saturday January 24, 2009 in her daughter's home, 3909 National Cemetery Rd. Florence, SC Born in Plymouth, IN August 29, 1921, Betty was the next to the youngest of nine children born to Harold and Flora Etta Steiner. Due to illness, in November 2002, she was forced to move from her ancestral home to live with her daughter, Phyllis (Rose) Cole. Betty was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1162, the Bourbon American Legion and First United Methodist Church all of Plymouth, IN. While living in Florence, she was a member of the Shepherd's Center, attended Central United Methodist Church, and in earlier years was a member of the Pee Dee Singles Club. Visitation was at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home and funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church, both in Plymouth, IN. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, IN.
