Betty Myers McKenzie, affectionately known as "Roosh", 89, of Florence and Murrells Inlet, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband James Kinley McKenzie, Sr. Betty was a savvy businesswoman who was full of life and enjoyed sharing her words of wisdom. She loved to spoil all those around her, including any dogs that happened to stroll by. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who believed "crazy people have more fun." She is survived by her three children; James Kinley "Kin" (Vicki) McKenzie, II, Kencenia McKenzie Ernst, and Kimberly McKenzie (Jon) Bergrin. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Florence on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
