Barbara Rae Crotty Woodard, 84, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Mrs. Woodard was born in Chicago, IL a daughter of the late Mary Allen Garnett Lancaster and Harry Crotty.  She was formerly a member of Riverside United Methodist Church in Newbern, NC where she taught Sunday School and currently was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Frances Ashbury Sunday School Class, and loved volunteering when she was able.  In 1969, she was the President of the Elks Lodge in Alamogordo, NM, and had attended the Alamogordo School of Beauty Culture New Mexico, where she obtained a State of New Mexico Board of Cosmetologist Junior Operators License.  Barbara retired from Belk Department Store of Florence and loved arts and crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and various other creative activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland Lee Woodard, Jr.; son, David Allen Woodard; daughter, Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Woodard; and sisters, Judy Tarkington and Patricia "Patty" Dunlap.

Surviving are her son, Richard Lee (Jean Ann) Woodard; daughter, Laurie Lynn Woodard; daughter-in-law, Shasta Ward Woodard; grandchildren, Patrick (Laura) Woodard, Tyler (Taylor) Barnhill, Justin Allen Woodard, and Ryan Weston Woodard; great-grandchildren, Palmer, David "Davie", CharlesAnna, Scottie Lee, Grady, Austin, Gabby, Kylan, and Alex; nieces, Julie Allen Timberlake, Tami Lynn Medhurst, and Victoria Rae Stewart Hine; nephew, Patrick Nordgren; great-nieces, Kelsey Williams and Kaitlyn Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1300 2nd Loop Road, Florence, SC  29505, or the Parkinsons' Association, www.apdaparkinson.org, or to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.

A church led memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Highland Park United Methodist Church with the family to receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
