It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Allen, a beloved grandmother, mother, aunt and friend and a lifelong educator who dedicated her life to nurturing minds and inspiring generations. Barbara passed away peacefully at the age of 90.

Born and raised in Greenwich, NJ, Barbara pursued her passion for education early on, earning her degree in education from Dickenson College. She dedicated over 50 years to her students, always known for her patience, wisdom, and commitment to seeing every child succeed. Her impact on the community is immeasurable, as she inspired countless students to believe in themselves and strive for their dreams.

Beyond the classroom, Barbara was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She was an avid reader and world traveler, always sharing her love and knowledge with others. He family and friends will remember her as a guiding light, a great listener, and a source of wisdom and strength.

Barbara was preceded by her love of 62 years, Donovan Allen and her son, David Allen.

Barbara is survived by her children, Nancy Tench and Elizabeth Golden, grandchildren, Stacy, Ben, Rachel, and Jackson; great grandchildren, Trey and Avah, a special niece and caregiver, Pam, and a host of friends, former students and colleagues who cherished her dearly.
