Balford Cribb, 73, of Coward, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital in Florence. He was born in Georgetown, SC, a son of the late Myrick and Evelyn Cribb. He has been a resident of Coward for the past 20 years. Balford worked most of his life in construction and he raised and kept farm animals until his health started to decline. He loved his family and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred Browder Cribb; four daughters, Mildred Louise (Ronald) Jones of Pamplico, Mary Alice Cribb, Cynthia Ann Cribb and Leila (Russell) Biering, all of Coward; two sons, Balford Cribb, Jr. of Timmonsville and Michael Christopher Cribb of Pamplico; a brother, Johnny Cribb of Coward; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM at the funeral home, just prior to the service.
