Argie Burrows Hudson, 95, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Williamsburg County, SC, a daughter of the late Robert A. Burrows and Marie Baylor Burrows.  As a beloved wife and mother of 4, she was a hard-working homemaker, always making time for family, friends, and neighbors.  She was the oldest living charter member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.  She also enjoyed playing golf and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Leroy Hudson; brothers, Dargan Burrows, Virgil G. Burrows, Frank G. Burrows, Jack Burrows, and Gibson Burrows; and sisters, Iva Lee Whitcomb, Vernell James, and Miley Williams.

Surviving are her sons, Archie (Connie) Hudson of Florence, Lee (Mary) Hudson of Charleston, SC; her daughters, Joan (Terry) Poston of Lincolnton, NC, and Nancy (Price) Maddox of Florence; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, with the service to be held at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
