In Loving Memory of Anthony Scott Hunt

September 22, 1980 - April 6, 2025

Anthony's life was not easy, but it was full. He was a complicated soul with a heart that loved fiercely and a loyalty that ran deep. He had a light that drew people in, even when his shadows felt heavy. He could frustrate you and make you laugh in the same breath. He was silly and charming, emotional and tough, tender-hearted and full of fire.

He adored his daughter, Desiree Leigh Roberson —his greatest gift—and he loved his family with all that he had. He cherished memories, told stories of high school football like they happened yesterday, and kept his spirit young with music, laughter, and his playful nature.

Anthony took pride in how he showed up in the world. He was always dressed sharp, with one-of-a-kind sneakers, a fresh haircut, and a clean line-up. His style was his signature—confident, cool, and unmistakably him.

The man had a serious sweet tooth. He loaded his coffee with sugar, had a bowl of cereal nearly every night, and recently started mixing cookies and cream protein powder into his coffee like it was the perfect blend of health and dessert. He definitely had a sugar addiction—and he embraced it unapologetically.

He was a seeker, always searching for deeper meaning, always trying to understand life, faith, and the world around him in his own way.

He sought God. He prayed, he studied, he believed in the will of something greater. Islam gave him structure, peace, and purpose—and even in his hardest moments, he never stopped seeking light.

"Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return." Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Qur'an 2:156)

Anthony was a man who wanted to be free—and though the world too often caged him, it never broke him. Now, finally, he is free.

He found beauty in the simple things—like the beach, the sunrise, the sound of the ocean. He was a fighter. He was loved. And he was good.

We will miss him deeply and love him forever.
