Obituary

Anna Morollo, formerly of 530 Cleveland St., Hazleton, died on November 7, 2016, at The Carolinian Retirement Community in Florence, SC. Prior to moving to South Carolina, she lived in Camp Hill, PA since 2002. She was one hundred and one years old. Born in Humboldt, Pa, on May 25, 1915, Anna was the daughter of Mary (Yura) and Joseph Drabyak. She was married to Nicholas D. Morollo who preceded her in death in 1996. Anna lived and worked in Hazleton until her move to Camp Hill, PA. While raising her family, she worked at Eureka Dress factory for twenty-five years and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church where she was a also member of the Ladies of Charity. An avid reader with an intense interest in history, Anna was a member of the Hazleton Art League Book Club and a volunteer at the Greater Hazleton Historical Society after her retirement. In addition to her parents and her husband, Anna, the eldest of eight, was preceded in death by her siblings: Stephen, Joseph, John, Michael, Mary Ciccarone, Julianne DelVescio, and Helen Alliprandini. Surviving are her children, Anthony Morollo (Ulrike) in Murrells Inlet, SC, Margaret Wigger (Edward) in Mechanicsburg, PA, and Mary Lou Morollo (Lynn) in Florence, SC. She also leaves nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill, PA, and internment at Calvary Cemetery in Drums, PA, will be held on a date to be determined and announced by Anna's family. At 11:00AM on December 10, 2016, there will be a family led memorial service celebrated at St. Catherine's Episcopal Church held at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 3123 W. Palmetto St., in Florence. Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home assisted the family.
