A graveside service for Mr. Andrew Hill Watson, husband of Rosalie Evans Watson will be Saturday January 23, 2010, at 2PM, in Monroe City Cemetery, Monroe, NC, for the family. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Andrew O'Dell. Memorials may be made to York Place-The Episcopal Home For Children; 243 Kings Mountain Road, York, SC 29745. Mr. Watson, 74, died January 21, 2010, in a local healthcare facility after an illness. He was born February 22, 1935, in Macon, GA, to the late Marion Noble and Lillian Mundy Watson. He was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Darlington. Mr. Watson was a graduate of Davidson College, a Lieutenant in the US Army; and he owned a corporate computer systems company before he retired. Surviving in addition to his wife are: daughters, Laura W. (Chris) Bardi of Florence, Laney W. Preston of Ashboro, NC, and Elizabeth W. (Roy) Hemphill of Greenwood, SC; son, Benjamin A. (Maura) Watson of Great Falls, VA; Grandchildren, Elizabeth D. Trevillian, Emeline S. Preston, Jay W. Preston, Albert E. Hemphill, Claire S. Hemphill, Paul H. Hemphill, Andrew H. Watson, Mary Watson, Evan Watson, and Benjamin Watson.
