Allen Lee McGill, 60, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at MUSC Florence.  He was born in Dillon, a son of Frank McGill and the late Dorothy Louise Mitchell McGill.

Allen was a musician who loved playing and repairing guitars.  He was a member of the band, "The Blues Hounds".  He loved the Beatles, classic muscle cars and reading, especially JRR Tolkien.  Allen loved his family and the "light of his eyes" were his grandchildren.  He attended Pisgah United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Marks McGill; three sons, Sean Justin (Sandra) McGill, Eric Louis (Katie) McGill, and Rick Frank Joseph McGill; a daughter, Jennifer Nicole McGill; five grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew and Chloe McGill and Noah and Gabrielle Diaz; three brothers, Ronnie (Cheryl) McGill, Darren (Sally) McGill and Ricky McGill; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A church-led memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Pisgah United Methodist Church.  The family will speak to those in attendance following the service.
