A graveside service for Aline Moore Oakley, widow of Ludie E. Oakley, will be at 2:00PM, Monday, September 22, 2008, in Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ray Litts. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Sunday September 21 at Cain Funeral Home and at other times at 961 Clarendon Ave. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Bible Class, Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1300 Second Loop Rd., Florence, SC 29505. Mrs. Oakley, 93, died Saturday, September 20, 2008, in McLeod Hospice House after being in declining health for several years. She was born September 13, 1915, in Florence Co. to the late Julius W. and Lillie Plummer DeWitt Moore. She was also predeceased by daughters, Billie O. Williamson and Sylvia O. Holt; grandson, Walt Tarte and six sisters. Mrs. Oakley was a member of member Highland Park United Methodist Church, the Wesley Bible Class and the Mildred Fields Circle. Surviving, are: daughters, Barbara O. Hill and Annette O. (Joel) Tarte both of Florence; son, Wayne (Linda) Oakley of Elkin, NC; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Sybil M. Mashburn of Decatur, GA and Frances M. Brown of Burlington, Mass and a number of step-grandchildren.
