Alfred Szmitkowski, Jr., 67, passed away on May 26, 2016 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina. He has been a resident of South Carolina for the last 10 years. Alfred grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. He Graduated from Ferris High School, Jersey City in 1969. Alfred is an Army Veteran. He had worked for the United States Postal Service, Bulk Center, NJ and retired in 2004. Alfred married Louise in 1971 in Jersey City, NJ. They were married happily for almost 45 years. Alfred was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a comedian and loved laughing with his family and friends. Alfred is survived by his wife Louise, his daughters Monica and Renee, his son-in-laws Bobby and Rob, his only brother Robert Szmitkowski, and his grandchildren: Hayden, Corrine, Kayla, Nathan, and Emily. Alfred is preceded in death by his Mother Lottie and Father Alfred L. Szmitkowski.
