Pamplico, SC Alfred Joseph Debney, 79, of Pamplico, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2015, at his home. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph R. Debney and Francis McKee Debney Clifton. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim Debney, and a sister, Joan Debney. Al served his country in the U.S Air Force. He was also retired after 33 years from ESAB, formerly Union Carbide, in Florence. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and loved working on old cars. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Andrea Witherspoon Debney; two daughters, Cindy (Cameron) Floyd of Darlington and Teresa L. Bowen of Pamplico; two sons, Joseph L. (Jana) Debney of Summerville and Jason P. (Emily) Debney of Goose Creek; two sisters, Pauline Allen and Edith Arnold, both of Conway; seven grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews, and Sam, his beloved canine companion. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at the home. A graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Florence National Cemetery, directed by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home.
