Albert Carl Erxleben, Jr., 86, of Florence, SC, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at McLeod Hospice House. Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Albert Carl and Eleanor Boudrene Erxleben, Sr. He is also predeceased by his wife, Annabelle Alexander Erxleben and a sister, Barbara, Autry. Albert grew up in the Washington, DC area and married the love of his life, Annabelle, and they were married for 57 years. They later moved from Northern Virginia. He served in the Navy Reserves and was retired from the Washington Gas Light Company. Albert loved music and his family. He is survived by his son, Brian Carl Erxleben of Darlington; four daughters, Laura Ferlazzo of Colorado, Valarie Erxleben of Florence, Susan (Jeff) Knauff of Seneca and Leslie (Steve) Capotosti of Florence; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Hansen of Florence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to McLeod Hospice House.
