Agnes Margaret Stewart Spradley, "Aggie", 103, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025.  She was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Agnes Margaret Stewart and A.T. Steward.  She is also predeceased by her husband, William A. Spradley, Sr.

Mrs. Spradley was a proficient secretary with work as secretary to Florence Chief of Police, secretary to Florence County Recreation, Florence County voter's registration, and Florence County Coroner.  She retired at the age of 70 in 1991.  She was an active part of the Wesley Sunday School class and the Mary Lazar Circle at Highland Park United Methodist Church.  A kind-spirited Christian lady that always enjoyed being a part of a group, whether church related or family gatherings.

Mrs. Spradley is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ranes; a son, William A. Spradley, Jr.; grandson, John A. Vail (Abby); granddaughters, Nova and Lily; numerous nieces and nephews with several cousins that have always been an important part of her life.

The family would like to give special recognition to her caregivers over the years; Dale Flinchum, Patty Hoffmeyer and Freda Goodson.  For the past 5 plus years, a care team surrounded Mrs. Spradley with excellent care.  The members include Jeanette Givens, Gail Gregg, Janice Williams and Ruth Mitchell.  These ladies provided her with individual care and companionship.  Each one can tell you stories of Mrs. Spradley over the years.  She enjoyed receiving cards from faithful members like Wanda Dalrymple and Barbara Lindler.  Recently Highland Park card ministry reached out to her with personalized cards throughout the year.  A long life was granted Mrs. Spradley with each year met as a blessing and with a grateful heart.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2025 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM just prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence.
