A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Ada Cook McCormick. Ms. McCormick, died June 27, 2008, at her residence. She was born February 5, 1946, in Glens Falls, NY, to the late Wade and Ada Louise Cook Blackmon, Sr. She was also predeceased by: sister, Billie Hannon and brother George Blackmon. She worked in the Human Resource Department for Carolinas Hospital System. Surviving, are: sons, Steven McCormick of Effingham and Shelby Willard "Will" (Amy) McCormick of Cocoa, FL; brothers, Wade Blackmon of Queensberry, NY and Lawrence Blackmon of Glens Falls, NY; sisters, Robbie Blackmon of Glens Falls, NY and Gladys Walajtys of Latham, NY.
