AC Nelson, 90, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. He was born in Greenville, SC, a son of the late Myrtle Morgan Nelson and James Frank Nelson. He is predeceased by his wife, Gloria Jean Nelson and a son, Mark Nelson. Mr. Nelson enjoyed working in construction and working with small engines. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Robert (Liz) Huffman of Florence; three daughters, Patricia Marsh and Geraldine Nelson, both of Florence and Debra Huffman of New Jersey; two brothers, Roy (Helen) Nelson of North Carolina and Jimmy Nelson of Nevada; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017, in the Chapel of Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends until 8:00 PM at the funeral home following the service. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
